LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW!!

The snow has been falling steady for about a day.. school was in session on Monday, but by Monday night this is what it looked like! The kids love it, we all love it... especially as we hope for school to be cancelled the next day! The only thing I don't like about it is the mess of wet boots, gloves, hats, coats, and loose snow that gets tracked in the house... ugh!

Jeremy and Grace working on Frosty! Love the snow flakes falling in the shot.

TWO POSTS IN TWO DAYS!!!!

This is Ellie and her friend Dakota.... he is her "boyfriend" ha ha.. they really are too cute together and love playing with each other. We will be so sad when he moves to Hawaii... BUT can't wait to visit! He is from Toy Story and Ellie is a Vampire Cheerleader!

Here is the clan getting ready to go Trick or Treating in our neighborhood. From bottom step to top step and left to right it is Ellie, Dakota, Angel, Victor, Jeremy, Isaiah, Jackson, Grace and Lani.
Here is our ghoulish ghost, Lucy. She did not like the costume and it did not last very long on her!
The family pumpkins before setting them on the porch.
At Trunk or Treat... Ellie and Grace are Vampire Cheerleaders, Jeremy is the Alien and Jaxx is next to him (hard to see) in the crazy scarecrow costume.

A trip to the Pumpkin Patch

I went with Ellie's Kindergarten class to the Pumpkin Patch.... we have had better fall weather than this. It was pouring and I thought for sure it would be a miserable time. But, what cheers up someone more than a smile on your kid's face. Ellie had a great time despite the rain.
She got to pet the baby goat...
a baby pig....
and go through the hay maze two times! Fun stuff!
Isn't this the look of a girl who had a great time???

Annual Father Daughter Dance

Once a year the high school holds a Father/Daughter Dance and every year it is something that my girls look forward too. This year I picked a pink and black theme. Michael and the girls looked fantastic! They went to dinner (picked by the girls), Wendy's! Michael said that was an upgrade from McDonald's last year. Maybe by the time they are in high school they will be going to Sizzler! ha ha

SUMMER

A new photo of the family....this is the last day of our vacation in Las Vegas and heading home to Washington... we look a bit worn out. We have been gone for 3 1/2 weeks. We drove to Montana, Colorado, Nevada.. Michael took a plane to Cape Cod and then WE took a plane to Mexico. Then we drove home up through California, Oregon, and finally to Washington 20 hours later. Whew.. I am tired even typing it!

In a nut shell

I posted about my lack of blogging.. but for some reason (maybe because I am not on here enough to figure it out) it ended up at the bottom of the page... so here are some pictures of some fun events in the past few months. I have many more pictures but they are not on this computer so I was limited to the ones I could use. So sorry Jackson as I don't have many of you.

YES, We are still alive and kicking

Ok, I admit it. I have been cheating. I have neglected my blog and turned all my attention to FaceBook. It is just easier. Easier to post comments, upload pictures, keep track of the comings and goings of friends and family. It only takes a minute or two of my time, where blogging requires dialogue, humorous dialogue. Come on, admit it... who wants to read a boring blog... not me. I think that is why I haven't even logged into mine cuz it is boring. But nonetheless, I am updating it for the few people who read it. (You know who you are!) Love ya...

It has only been 5 months!

WOW, time has flown by. I have not had a post in 5 months. This post will only be a written update as I am having so many issues with my stupid computer so I can't post pictures. Maybe in another 5 months I will be able to. ANYHOW.... what has happened since our last post. I will work from the things that happened not so long ago, to the ones that happened a long time ago (but within the past 5 months).
1) Grace was baptized on May 1st (pix to come later)... she turned 8 on April 4th, and she DID NOT like sharing her birthday with Easter... although she loves the true meaning of Easter it was hard for the other kids to get excited as much as she wanted about her birthday presents when they had their own baskets.
2) Baseball has ended at the college for Michael. YEAH... he has been home more and doing so many great things around the house. My backyard is manicured and it looks beautiful. I actually rested in the hammock, with shorts on, with out the fear of rain for about an hour the other day, while he worked in the yard. It was so nice.
3) Baseball for the boys has begun... and we are sooooo busy with this. Between both boys I probably have 4-5 games a week. Not to mention Jackson is doing double duty with baseball and middle school track. He barely has time to socialize....YES!
4) I volunteered to be Grace's softball coach... I know, I am crazy. So add that to the list of things to do each week. However, I really have enjoyed it and so has she!
5) So I have posted about all the kids but Ellie... well, she is the tag-a-long. Poor thing... she goes and goes and goes. Most nights, after games or practices, she falls asleep in her car seat, no pajamas, teeth not brushed with evidence of a busy day on her clothes, face and hair.... I love that girl, she is a trooper. Lately she has been asking me when does she get to play soccer, can I have swimming lessons? UGH, not sure I am ready for all of them to be that busy. Someday I say...
Well that is about it... I will post pix of things as soon as I get this computer figured out. But bye for now.. love you all!
